    I'm really glad to hear that Spire is getting an update, although it is already an incredible workhorse synth!

    Interesting, I was playing with a Roland System-8 yesterday and it's got some kind of a vowel filter that didn't impress me much. :/ This sounds more like it! :wink: I wasn't much impressed with any of the Roland synths, either... I've owned many Roland synths and these VS versions are just not it. Not saying they're bad or unusable, though. Just nothing special.

    Anyway, can't wait to get a hold of this update to Spire! :wink:

    on facebook was a small announcement, but i cant find it right now.
    i guess should come before christmas because maybe coupled with an end of the year sale or something.

    Great news and cool features....

    But where is the long-promised wavetable import feature?! The click removal and vowel osc look nice though. As for the filter shaper, a simple filter drive knob would have been better. The chorus looks nice. Looks like a solid update. Just missing some stuff talked about long ago.

    @Army of Ninjas actual when you code, sometimes you cant get shit done, so over the years you learn how to be gentle in feature announcements, announce only when you have it almost ready.
    so i guess they just ran into a problem coding the stuff.

    anyway i am happy with what spire is now.

    Yeah I love Spire. I just wish I could do some wavescanning with some hand-rolled wavetables. We could easily do our own vocal scanning sounds if we had that. No vowel osc needed (or plucks made from wavescanned tables resynthesized from a harp pluck!).

    They realy need to add fxp and fxb support so the banks can be batch converted into fxp
    so users can sort them out into categories,its more of a time saver than anything
    unless your the one doing the sorting :rofl:
