Is there anywhere a 'proper' clear and understandable english translation of those 'NO INSTALL/PORTABLE' Symlink distributions install instructions around?
All I could find is clearly auto-translated (google probably) and although it can sometimes make it somewhat understandable, other parts make no sense!?

I thought we agreed -as a forum- that we would not use these because they upset the releasing groups. AFAIK they are simply repackaged apps that have already been offered and grabbed already. The only benefit is to uploaders and I think Saint removed them.

to have tested several plugins packages there is a very simple way: use the SymLinkInstaller file as admin (it doesn't work otherwise)
the main advantage is to have a key, an external hard drive, an SD card, and not to have to reinstall everything.
just right click as admin. plus it makes the main hard drive lighter.
When you open your daw everything is scanned and in place and it works. it's like a portable version of software.
