Software converting melody to midinotes

    Hello AudioSexers,

    I'm looking for software which is able to read'melodies' (from wav, mp3) and convert it to Midi-information.
    Is there a plugin available?
    I guess I saw this once as a iTunes plugin. But I need it for a DAW.

    its free so theres no risk and from the example it seems to work not too bad

    Melodyne is by far the best solution but be prepared to do plenty of manual adjustment for decent results, especially on timing of notes.

    Try http://www.widisoft.com/english/mp3-midi-products.html , which is what i've used in the past. There's also Audioscore Ultimate http://www.sibelius.com/products/audioscore/ultimate.html . Again, both require manual tweaking post, and have editors.

    Melodyne does the job very well and you have everything under control.. however there are other programs that do the trick with less effort from your side. WavToMidi

    Melodyne captures very good at the first sight.

    But I cant figure how to export the (detected) midi clip for use in an other ducument. So I can change synths.
    Is this posible?

    I see... This command is available in the standalone application. I used the plugin with Ableton Live where there is no export function.

    No, I use it within the plugin.. in Ableton... everyday mate. :thumbsup:

    Make sure you have the latest version of Melodyne Editor.

    The only commands in my settingsmenu are: "file manager" and "preferences"

    The plugin midi export function doesn't work with the MacOS crack on audioz site.

    Standalone does the job, not plugin.

    Any suggestions? Or better crack?

    Btw. This is about Mac software, not PC.
