As well as cubase and studio one.

    Nope.

    Yes. And per note too.

Live is not an audio restoration software. Anyway for such a precise editing i would prefer iZotope rx over Reaper. So hardly a valuable argument.

To be fair, Reaper doesn't really have it either. Spectral editing isn't about selecting a box & twirling knobs, it's about freehand, like Photoshop

You can draw a circle instead of box with pencil!

Edit: Just checked. Not really a circle but something close.

Studio One has got the best workflow. I changed my Reaper settings after demoing Studio One 3. I like the rapid development of Reaper & I will stick with it.
Comparing songs, artists, genres, DAWs, plugins etc depends on personal taste and it is highly subjective debate. Happy music making.

Simply avoid any frustration and find something for your needs. Cubase is great software. S1 is great software. Pro tools is great software. Like any other... Just pick what you need by your personal preferences.
Don't understand your frustration quite well, like I bought Reaper and then I spit on each command and option.
Also, Reaper has customer forums and that is a right place to put some appeals if you want to.

As well as i don't understand reaper cult.
Everything that i described here, has dedicated thread on their forum. With two possible answers: 1) You can't, yet. 2) Open console and divide by zero.

    Absolutely!
You see, for you S1 has best workflow, but for me not!
This type of threads should be punished in future :) If you open "best" 10 negative points...

What is best and for who? Who can judge about best and how?

Why not open "S1, Reaper pros & cons", where we can put real pros & cons for each of them. But anyway, the one who is interested to buy software, he will for sure do a demo of any software before go to shopping... I mean, how can someone convince me that S1 is great for me. I will install demo and try and then I will decide if I want to buy the beast or not.

Did you buy Reaper? If yes, then my question is "why"? If not, then my question is what's the point of your comments !??
I personally hate FL studio, but did you see my comments on some FL studio users thread where I spit on FL studio options? Why would I? It's childish... It's not my business.
Alfa Romeo cult also exists, and I still hate Alfa Romeo but I respect people from that cult.
My recommendation is: for your money you should choose what you will buy. Whatever you buy and do some beautiful tones with it I will respect you.

Thread like: "Violin, Mendini or Cecilio". And then 10 users votes for Mendini and 10 for Cecilio. Mendini side spit on Cicilio and vice versa. Are both the same at the end of forum comments? Then you see audience in topic barely crosses age of 13 :)
Go to the store, take both in your hands, play and decide. I don't know what's so hard there !??

Now it's Live + Iris vs Reaper? :deep_facepalm: I don't know what you want to achieve here but you are making fun of yourself by behaving like this.

Since when? It is a Bitwig thing, not Ableton's.

Because no one is talking about real picture of things. I never see comments like reaper #1 but:
swing for piano roll was added in 2k17, no groove pool, sampler is a joke, no drag'n'drop samples from arrangement view to the instruments that supports this feature, etc. This list is endless. People deserve to know. I'm glad that i can open console and program Artificial intelligence inside the daw, but it has nothing to do with musical creativity process which is limited as hell in reaper. Someone will look at thing and think "okay, i want to compose something, or to sample something, seems like this is not for me", and will choose the right tool where he don't need to be advanced python programmer to implement simple trivial things that's supposed to be here right from the beginning.

I'm not saying that reaper is a complete crap. I'm saying that it's not the best option for the actual composing, jamming and sampling.
Shit talks about cubendo, live, fl, ableton are totally fine. But when it comes to reaper... OMG DUDE STOP. DUDE STOP! IT'S REAPER. You can't say bad things about this 60$ daw! Such a hypocrisy.

Look at that. Guy asked about macros, and got the answer that this is not unique feature for the reaper. He disagree.

    I'm saying
    he reads
He even don't know that iris is a sample-based synth with ability to pick spectral part of the sample. Live + iris is bad. But let me guess.. reaper + iris is a choiсe! I'm done here.

Holy shit. I mean... should I...

Fuck it. Yup. I'm taking credit for this. I've converted you to a full fledged Ableton Live fanboy. Welcome to the club, I'll take your coat.

    Check the video published date.

I agree but not a joke, it's functional and a very basic sampler which get things done. I know Ableton's sampler is much better with those filter envelopes and pitch envelopes plus many great things. Instruments that comes with Reaper are weakest part of Reaper. I would never buy Reaper if I want to rely on inbuilt effects.
    Here.
Ctrl+Alt on windows you can drag any audio item to any plugin, Maschine/Poise/Kontakt whatever.
Which list? Those lies you are spreading here? Naww... Do you even know how to use google?
It's a user thing, not a DAW thing. You can't buy creativity. It's a marketing bullshit that DAW giants uses to impress dumb people.
Every DAW has pros and cons that's why Reaper is not the best DAW. Lots of options in Reaper can be a big deal for many people. That's why Reaper is a nightmare for them.
I was comparing Reaper to Ableton. Now it's Reaper vs All DAWs? What's wrong with you?
Who said that? From where iZotope plugins got into your DAW bashing debate?

Hi Von correct me if I am wrong but I think you can also do this with the width setting also on a track.
