Please, listen to my track, I'd like to hear any comments positive or negative *yes*
    http://soundcloud.com/re-vibe/no-funk

The name of the track somewhat refers to its content ;)

BTW, if you know to what music genre it could be attributed, please let me. I have certain problems properly defining the style.

PS: re:vibe is my project, while my music production alter ego is Loki Fuego ;)

    I love it!

Great song, I especially love the main percussive sounding synth.

    Thanks for replies ;)

BTW that main lead sound was partly sequenced using SugarBytes Thesys, so that's why it has a lot of variations. I made 5 patterns (with small bits of randomization) in Thesys, and then applied them to different melodic lines.

    Hi,

Do like it but I would like to see that the bassline
after the first drop, grooved a little bit more.
Maybe you can play some longer notes instead of short ones with pauses in between.

    Just a thought

I was thinking about making bassline groovier. The problem is that the bassline is actually made of bass guitar loop and synth on top of it. I'm still trying to find a best way to deal with that bass guitar loop :)

Nice and funky. Like it a lot! Maybe you could add a hit/downlifter at 2:08? It gets so quiet there. But that's just me. Good work!

I thought this was great. It sound a bit like a c64 game, which is good in my book.
    Loved the transition at 2:10.

One Reason, erm, I don't play, I program everything in ;)

Incognito, it's not just you. The volume drops there quite a lot. It needs to be smoothed out.

Mark, thanks, it's nice to hear that from a person who is so much into a film scores ;) BTW, my girlfriend who has 10-year musical training, said that she really likes your music.
