I've played that track countless times. Usually after or before I would play Joris Voorn - The Deep. Don't ask me why, it was one of those things I'd do without thinking. Like pouring sugar into a cup of coffee.
Thanks for making me recall those times. Big up o/

Was stalking to get to know about Michael Brauer and found out his works on this album is amazing. Kinda like the transparent, the sonic, the acoustic, and the mixing overall. Wishing to be able do the same with virtual instruments. Amen.

Nothing special about this track, just great players and exceptionally natural sounds.

    I don't know why and it's not new ...

  17. So much has to do with the tracks given you to work with. In my mind it is a completely different ballgame mixing virtual instruments as compared to live tracked ones. Bleed can be your friend or your worst enemy, phasing issues can be a pain in the butt and the compromises associated. Bleed can act as the glue that brings a cohesiveness though to the mix. Also, tracked living musicians put a groove on a song that is in my opinion very hard to duplicate if you are playing all the instruments, especially using loops that repeat and repeat. Lenny Kravits does this very well, sometimes playing everything.
I suggest listening to Michael Brauer talk about his work and see what you can do. He uses a big desk and lots of outboard gear, I believe, which will really have you putting in lots and lots of time trying to duplicate things that might just take a short time with hardware. This will get you started, if you already have not poured over everything he has out there....

  18. Nice...also really noisy, but the performance is great.
