Nice song but why would you cut the 18khz on master bus? To make it sound like an mp3?

Well any other limiter that limits can handle limiting "like a boss", or alternatively, "like a meme"

LAME 128kps MP3 co @ 15.6k, and most people can't hear beyond 16k anyway. Enjoy your extra 0.5dB of headroom.

It depends if you're listening on your grandad's old radio that was made after the 1st world war and miraculously survived during the 2nd world war and now here you are telling us that people can't hear above 15.6khz. You may as well cut below 400hz since you don't need it anyway.

When every random gets access to the internet and downloads mp3s from youtube so now they think they have it all figured out.

    It's a roundabout figure.

I did say 16khz. Anyway, try inserting a brickwall 16khz Lowpass EQ on a song Like Izo Ozone 5. Turn it on and off. I couldn't hear any (noticable) difference. Can you?

Most graphs of equal loudness show a sharp hike around 16k , too.

    https://www.google.com/search?q=equal+loudness&dcr=0&source=lnms&tbm=isch

This is a different story. Some tracks might not need <400h, others might.

When every random gets access to the internet and makes claims which aren't based on testing they think they have it all figured out.

You've been testing mp3s.. wav files don't cut...
And that curve is never a brickwall (which i don't know many filters who can do that, even fabfilter with 96db cut leaves something out) so i don't know what the hell you're on about..

Image 1; Before the retarded 16khz 'brickwall' cut with 96db
    1.png

Image 2; After the retarded 16khz cut 2.png

Audio results of that cut, i can hear it pretty fine at very considerable volumes..
Now if that second image is the perfect example of what frequency spectum should look for you then you're right, go back to listening to music through your grand dad's WW1 Radio .

    Keep being basic

Did i say I tested EQ on mp3s? I said i've been testing mp3 co, but I never said I tested EQ on MP3. In fact, the below testing was performed on FLAC.

STOP RIGHT THERE. Fabfilter does not do brickwall cuts.

I know 96dB/O sounds impressive, but really, it isn't. Since Octave=doubling in frequency, a 96dB/O Lopass @4K will only go to -96dB at (2x4K=) approx 8K.

Fabfilter Pro Q 2 has a transition band of a few K @4K in Linear Phase mode. AS YOU HAVE HEARD.

Ozone has a transition band of a few tens of Hz. BIG difference. Please try again.

May I ask what's so good about Sonnox Oxford Limiter?

Personally, I started testing Pro L (1), but didn't like the results I was getting, so decided to give AOM Invisible Limiter a chance, and got pretty well at first. I was using Inv. Lim. G2 until recently, then I switched to Waves L3 Ultramaximizer. Liked it a bit better.

Haven't tried Sonnox (UAD hardware exclusive AFAIK), so it would be great to hear what results are you guys getting from it.

    Thanks.
