What kind of protection do Samplitude use?

 

It seems to be their own creation. There is no dongle nor , ilok account required, and you can use it off line if this is your concern.

 

What's up with the downgrade?

 

ohhh then this package may be appearing at a site nearby sometime in the future.....


Samplitude has some deep functionality, but so deep for me I could not keep drilling down into it for long,
especially when so much I want to do is right on the surface of Reaper.... but good on ya for the fans...

You also get Sound Forge pro and SpectralLayers pro included in that price, its a superb deal even if you just use those two.

 

It is a very solid package and that is quite a good deal. Good for them for making a push.

 

How unfair it is, it costs in my country $1126 and we earn a month $422, I do not want to live.

 

Yeah it's an awesome deal. I upgraded from Sam X2 (not the suite) to Sam X3 pro suite for more than twice that price.
And you also get a free copy of Melodyne Essential (with now the Ara thing in samplitude), it's just essential but right now the upgrade from essential to melodyne studio goes at 300$ until the end of the year or you can upgrade to editor version for 150 (full price is normally twice that for both), plus izotope repairing suite for soundforge (handy tools) and Birdline Skin suite in the bundle. Great offer, too bad I already have it. Plus back then spectrallayer pro wasn't even included. it was just sound forge pro (which is already awesome, I love that soft)I'm gonna check with Magix if I can get spectral for free.
I confirm that the security is dongleless, you just put your email adress/username and serial number at first launch and you're good to go.

Sad to hear, but why does it cost more in your country? Shoudn't it be everywhere USD149 (but yes, a dollar is not a dollar in all countries..)

And about Samplitude: I like it. Moved from Studio One (when 3 came out, coz didn't like it so much) to Samplitude to 'evaluate' it. But I hesitated to buy it, because the last DAW I bought was just not supportet anymore for Windows after I bought it :-(
So if I buy it...(hope not!)

About upgrades: My music pc is offline. Can I DL upgrades from a pc without having Samplitude installed and of course install it on my offline pc?

 

Yep, you can download the installers from your personnal space from any computers. I'm not sure about the extras though (vita and all that). But the main program, sound forge and all, you can get them from any computer and your personnal user area. Upgrades are available there too.

and work with this version.
