    Right

I'm losing my shit... Been at this for weeks since updating my OS from 10.8 to 10.10. Anyone experienced this fucking bullshit where if you enable AU's in Live 9 it only shows a folder called "Apple" with some bullshit Apple audio unit plugins inside? I've never installed these so I'm guessing it comes bundles with this OS. Live's audio units path doesn't seem to be looking in the usual place of library/audio/plugins/components etc... Can't seem to find the folder it's routed to even by searching system files.

Anyone know where these bastards are? How to delete them? To change the routing?

    Driving me insane.

You need to rescan the plugins manager... and calm down.

I haven't heard of this problem, anyone else experience it? (haven't gone to 10.10 yet, but was about to....)

They are components of Apple's core audio, can't be deleted.

Did you fired up Logic before Ableton? You need an apple app to validate (and create the AU cache) the audio units before Ableton Live or other non-apple software can load them AUs. If you don't have logic (or final cut/garage band), there is no other way that I know of. Live does not scans them. Maybe reaper :dunno:

even if you are just updating your osx?

Every os update brings something new regarding the audio units and it was never a positive change - just AU that won't validate, won't open & so on.

So even if you are "just updating", statistics show that things can get messy with the AUs. Apple has a tool called "AU Lab" it's very small and can validate the audio units of someone does not want to install logic x.

Also, from High Sierra, 90% of the time after I install a new plug-in I have to restart my computer otherwise logic can't even see it installed so there's nothing to validate.
