I have done everything to activate studio one {3.5.1} r2r release on my computer
-it gets activated but as soon as i start my pc again after working on it..it gives me error saying License has not been issued to this computer
-also i have blocked S1 from accessing internet in my firewall as well
-I have followed each and every step mentioned in r2r text file.. still getting error
any help would be appreciated

What operating system? Windows, OSX? Clean install?

 

most probably you are jumping ahead a step during the process and then its all screwed no-matter how you try to fix afterwards.

my guess is you open Studio One before patching successfully

So, Shanu, UNINSTALL and have this post open while you install and patch and, write down EXACTLY every move you do. and i mean EVERY step IN ORDER, dont assume anything or skip anything

ok..
1.i turn my internet connection off[well it doesnt matter experiencing license isssue either way]
2.install studio one 3 installer (x64) [run as admin or not.. doesnt matter still no help]
3.install it on my E drive (tried it on my OS C drive as well..no help)
4.block it on my firewall from accessing internet[ even if i try to patch it before blocking it..still no help]
5.run studio one keygen and patch studio one.exe [keygen still running...even if not..still no help]
6.open studio one and click activate offline
7.copy machine ID to studio one keygen
8. click generate license
9.drag studio one 3 pro license back to studio one
10.got message..Thank you studio one has been activated to run on this computer
11. everything is running fine..i m workin on it
12. as soon as i turn my pc off or restart it...then i try to open studio one it gives me error like "license has not been issued to this computer"
13.somehow my pc breaking license upon restarting..so this is whats happening

happened to me before, patched it then opened studio one, offline activation, said activated, then restart and load license for vu meter and channel strip, reopen studio one and same as what you got, think all i did was click in the top menu activate and dropped the license into studio one then it worked, not sure if you did this or if this is your issue,

 

this is good to know because other-ways we could keep talking about stuff you already understand and have done right.
ive heard of machines doing this changing their "print" and therefore deactivating licenses. its tricky

as DJK said that should work, have you tested?

No i haven't tested that yet... trying ryt now...will let you know..By the way thanks for the help guys..

 

just a thought, i see you blocked studio one with firewall, think that might be the problem, try activating it before blocking it, think it needs to be online to accpept the license, its what i did as said above, activate, open it then block in firewall

did you disable the ethernet port before starting s1?

 

Studio One will not open with your ethernet card disabled. You have to open Studio One before disabling the ethernet card, and unblock it in your firewall.

 

tried it with both disable or enable..
- if my connection is disabled and i start s1..i still get this error
-even if my connection is enabled and i start S1..still get this error
basically i cant get it open after a restart..i have to do whole process again

hmm...
try to license the daw again but offline
keep the router disconnected but let the ethernet port enabled
start s1 offline
if u want to have internet, you will have to do as Tsargoth said:
'You have to open Studio One before disabling the ethernet card'

I dont know if the firewall will avoid 100% s1 to go home. if anyone could explain if there is anything else that could be done to prevent this issue from happening...

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet but similar issues as you are having regularly occur when the DAW is run as "Administrator", which can interfere with certain priviliged actions, by it. Uncheck Administrator (if applicable) and see if that works.

 

The error you are getting happens on Windows 7 if my router is off. No network.

I gave up on Windows 10 early because of instability and install issues with expensive software.
You need help from someone with Windows 10 explicit experience.

As a side note. Make sure you have all current core service pack updates for Windows 10.
Studio One 3.5.2 requires the latest platform update to run on Windows 7.

Had very less stuff on my pc anyway...so clean installed win 10...actually the problem was...i was signing in into my presonus account during activation...on win 10 once signed in you are screwed up..cleaned registry..uninstalled it completely but nothing worked...then..on clean installed win 10..i installed S1 again but this time didnt sign in while activating it..now everything is working fine
apparently it had nothing to do with my network on/off
And yeah win 10 is shitty..full of bugs..but had to installed it.. coz of no support from win 7 for my hardware..but thanks for the help anyways
