Cracking a Rar password protected file

    Hey All!

    Anyone know how i can Crack open a Rar password protected file?

    I have this files i created a long time ago which was pass protected and i cannot remember the pass?

    Any Ideas how i can solve this matter?...im on mac osx

    *no* Don't believe that's so easy! Same is for password protected DMG-archives.
    Even brute force attacks on such files mostly don't work right.
    There are some tools for MAC as "Spartan" but it takes much, much time to crack a password,
    and you need a dictionary library containing many passwords.
    You'd probably better google for a solution - if there's a real one!

    ive tried in the past as FL studio had this nice copyprotection for a few months.
    the whole FL folder got rared and somehow password protected. ive never managed to crack that password.

    when its a combination of lower case letter, big letters, numbers and special symbols and goes over 8 or 9 of them youll end up in scanning ages with brute force.

    for example "A?t1c7t#mn". so i would forget about that ... really.

    There's cloud computing service password 'recovery' now, often takes only minutes to crack, but of course it's not free. ;)

    as far as I know if your archive as a strong password...you'll never open it.

    or as said it's going to cost you ...and it certainly won't take a few minutes...so unless it's very valuable ...forget about it
