Do you know Einstein didn't hold with the quantum physics of that time that was based on probabilities? He didn't accept it because he was thinking that he's be able to formulate the whole phenomena in the universe with his formulas but they weren't working in the atomic and sub-atomic scales.

They retire because they get tired? Of sharing their work for free, while other people make money on their release, especially.

In the old days it wasn't that way. You would log into an FTP and download stuff at the speed your ISP provided you with for as long and as much as you wanted. And you wouldn't have to pay for anything. Nowadays it's all about paying for everything from download, VNPs... it's becoming ridicilous. R2R have simply understood that and got away from it. Sharing their work with the public is simply stupid and they get nothing from it, whilst a bunch of people make money from it.

I can understand them completely. Just stay away R2R. We have V.R anyway...

 

ASSiGN did not retire, they simply took a break and came back under a new name and AiR pretty much quit after Gouda passed away

 

I hope we get to see AL10 before any groups retire
Sad that some greedy folk mess around teams such as R2R. It amazes me how much R2R do for others to try software

ASSiGN are not retired their members are now part of R2R, before ASSiGN they were Peace-out
some AIR member even helps R2R

 

One day some cracker realizes that he (or she) is working for free and then gets blasted by the people who exploit his (or hers) kindness and gratitude for having something done maybe not sooo perfectly. On that day, the cracker thinks: WTF ... go and f yourself. I will get paid from now on for my work. The suckers IMHO can go away and die, I don't care. I will not work for one penny worth for these low lives. Pay me, and I will be nice to you. You want a whore to do your bidding, so put the money up.

If I were a cracker I would definitely come to that point on one sunny day. That's for sure.
