Would either or both of you care to share why you dislike ilok so much?

I've got about 80 plugins on my ilok and its no problem at all.

Infact the last time i had to reinstall my machine, it saved me a hell of a lot of time and trouble that i would have had finding and inputting serials.

 

iLock = one more driver loading at each start-up of my computer, one more thing that needs to call home, eventually spying on what I'm doing, eg: using cracked iLock software etc ...
In this particular case, free does not need any protection so why use iLock?

 

Actually i really like the working of this reverb i mean its good for Acoustic instruments and Drums.

 

I've been following soundtoys for a little while and what they like to do is give something free once during the year and then all year round it will be priced at $99. They probably wont have it available for free for a long time so they can make some money.

 

Ok, I understand now, why they put a protection.Anyway, I simply dont use anything that uses iLock.
