    i wonder how people did it more than 15-30 years ago. i bet their tracks weren't release ready ;)

    15-30 years ago the mixing/mastering process was made by professionals, it still the case now for some stuff, but most of the music made today is homemade by amateur or semi-professional. I don't think this tool (and all the other program from this brand) was made for professionals, but more for people who do this at home, who haven't necessary trained ears and skills that real engineers have.

    It also a good way for people who do all themeself that one mastering is not always enough, and sometime it's good to have different master for different use.

    Just because we can cook without a microwave doesn't mean the microwave is useless :)

    It's not a tool for people who has a pro skill.

    Who, like me, will never growup enough to be a pro (no ear trainig, no expensive course etc), could use it to learn what is necessary to upload his tracks on Soundcloud, Spotify or elsewhere without being too ashamed.

    Yes! Thanks for the share! I see this tool as something similar to iTunes Tools Package. and this is great, especially working on Windows. For "All-In-The-Box" producers like me, this should ease on the complexity in post-production chain, i see, together with REFERENCE, I feel blessed! I do. :like:

    I'm at work and I just saw the site. If this plugin delivers analysis this easy to read and understand, then it provides reliability. Tonite I'll give it a spin. 9 bucks is not so bad a deal after all. There are benefits in all [non-professional/educational] fronts: (1) ear training for trouble spots, (2) reliability for non-treated rooms, (3) another (automated) opinion on a mix, (4) a fabulous price point and free trial, and (5) speed and peace of mind, and I'm all for inexpensive ways to do things faster. I get lost in prolonged decision making. Once again, thanks @thantrax for the heads up.

    EDIT: Will REFERENCE go on sale any time soon?
