Ok, given around 100 MB/s trasnfer from my NAS, it would take them to load:
    3.000.000/100/3600
So my Workstation would start in as low as 8,33 hours

I should consider always on ...
Compared to 3TB RAM, the 48 TB disk space sound a little lame. But I won't need to load over ethernet sooooooo :hillbilly:

But really, my Z820 is blowing out warm air like a hairdryer. If I fill up all RAM banks (was it 512 GB?), next thing I would have to do is buying a bigger power supply and an aircondition for my room. No fun.

Problem is the Audio Interface Monopoly on latency.
We still do not have a basic $500 interface that has real time audio latency as any FX unit from the early 90's.
With GB connections and CPU's pushing 5 ghz and ram amounts 16 gb+ there should be ZERO reasons for any
    Latency whatsoever.

I have always been suspicious of the Interface companies keeping the latency higher on the cheaper units and making people pat 4 times more for "opened up firmwares"

Magic Lantern is a good example at the scam that Nikon, Canon and many other Camera companies have been playing.
