Hi guys! I tried everthing to fix it, since install previous VR version .v5.4.14074 to v5.4.16181 Same thing with the e-licencer control!
Rigth after try to run VEP Server (both 32 and 64 bits) suddenly this warning message apears over the screen!



Sad! If someone can help I will be very grateful!

 

You need to clean your registry. You definitely have some conflict regarding e-licencer there. Uninstall everything e-licencer based, clean up any leftovers from the registry, re-install. And block any suspicious internet activity from the app.

Thanks a lot Task! I'am running VPE in two servers PCs. The other one is working like wine, despite some pop up messages that suddenly occurs in some punctual situations. Such messages are pertinent to Steinberg Wavelab which i have installed but the original installer don't relies on e-Licencer (I don't know what happend on the backgroud... but didn't ask for previous eLicencer control). The fact is that by default, my eLicencer control comes with Wavelab SE / LE arready installed)...I erased Wavelab from the HD .. but same problem



Another probability: I have several old songs made with Cubase 5... changed Cubase for Reaper cos Cubase is too expensive to me. last month I had do reinstall Cubase5 just to remix a old song... Bingo -"maybe" - that was is my VPE server machine. I know Cubase 5 go deep into protection and it was the last known stable cubase till now...probabily some conflicts with AIR tweaks and VR one! I'll try desintall Cubase and hope it work!!! Don't want stay some weeks again reinstaling everthing from scratch. OMG

 

Finally solved!
Well! eLicence Control Center was blocked on firewal (it does make sence to me). Instead, I release it on firewall, opened the control center (with VEP already intalled - v5.4.16181) and made the Maintenance tasks that relies on communication with the server. Back to the firewall again, as Taskforce suggested, now only alowed in trusted level! Thanks all! Peace.

Good to hear you resolved it mate. Yeah firewalling some apps can be a bitch, what level should a user allow etc. Just fyi, i recently installed VEP 6 on a pc/mac config in one of my clients' home studio. All i can say is that v.6 is absolutely worth buying, so many enhancements there, and v.6 is definitely faster, more responsive and much lighter on the cpu.

 

I need to buy the v6 asap! VEP is amust to me as a mixing tool in my system. Just to mention, I have an old Intel Q9650 Quad Core processor 20% overclocked (now 4.0 Ghz) very stable running VEP Server. All inserts from my DAW is pointing by default do the server, a nice place to do cirugical mixing tweaks mainly using Nebula 3 dynamics, ..eq, compression, modulation, tape/tube/solid state saturation. Almost 50 Nebula's instances. Thanks man for your efforts!

 

fyi: why not using nebula's server? just because in this system I'am not able to put two or more nebula's instances in series 'on the server".. yes, I put it in series over the DAW's slot, but in the case of nebula's server, the streaming need to go to the server and come back to the DAW, for each Nebula1s instance... with this latency things becomes crazy! With VEP averthing is different. All proccessed in series over the VEP slots. Love it.
