Roland claimed that the newest version (1.2) of their plugin will accept Sysex banks but so far I was unable to load any external bank.

Anybody succeeded doing this?

i've been uploading them via the d50...go to patch then load....if that.s what you mean, i have installed about 20 so far

 

Works fine for me, just use the Load button in the patch window, it now loads both Bin files and Syx files.

 

This is weird: I go to Patch > Load and then I need to change the File type to All Files otherwise it will not see the files with the Sysx extension.

Once I change it and I select one sysx file, this is what I get:

Somebody converted them all into the vst plugin format already.

Read my comments abt setting the files to read only, or they might not work. It was the only way I could get them to show up.

 

I got the same message as you trying to load sySex. Unfortunately there is nothing about loading sySex in the manual. They only mention it on the product page. Where did you get the info about 1.2 because I think the latest version is 1.02..

However, you can always go to difficultaudio.com and convert all your sySex into .bin files

My bad, you are right: This is 1.02 and not 1.2, sorry for the typo.

I rechecked their product page to make sure I wasn't dreaming and indeed:

• Import SYSEX (*.syx) files and enjoy your favorite, previously created D-50 Linear Synthesizer patches

 

The latest version of the D50 for Mac is 1.04, and this loads sysex files without problem. I don't know about the PC version.

Maybe the cracked PC version isn't the latest that has this feature..?

BTW, shame and disgrace to Roland for selling a product with an unimplemented feature (at least on the PC version).

From what I confirmed elsewhere:
"As of the recently released version 1.0.4 of the D50 Cloud plugin, Roland have finally added sysex import of D50 patch banks - you just use the "Load" button in the bank window to load syx files directly, as it seems to work fine."

So we'll see

Me, i'm waiting on the upcoming Roland JD-800 Cloud version that supposedly is on the horizon.

 

Looks like the version that was released is 1.0.2 or what I should have said is that is the version it is not working on.
