i added the gold tabs to go with the other gold tabs
but could be to much gold if its even gold ?

wrighting in all caps as well is not how you get your own way
most people would tell you to grow up and not even wast there time
trying to do this for you after that,anyways have fun have added the other copy in this as well

This might be noob question but how do I get it looking like in the capture image? I followed the readme and just ended up with the mixer and playlist background black


edit: nevermind I was just running the 32 bit version that's why. Thanks a lot for this its really great work you've done!

Update 8 please be the last one lol
Found a few more bits and made a few changes as always
made the browser window darker and changed the green line on the playlist and orange line on the piano roll to white.
The blue piano note version still needs fixing so they change with the midi 1 to 16 in the playlist
but im not sure if i can get it how it should be,other than that thats all the color code now found and change.

@momo Finally! They really need to recolor the browser! Looks really nice!
Have you changed it when opening a folder with samples in it too? The gray-red tint that's behind samples? Hope you have :D

 

I've been a fly on the wall on here but have been refreshing this thread daily. As much as I want to just ask VERY NICELY for a custom skin, I think I'm going to dive in and give it a try as well like momo and r4e. No coding experience but I'll see how far I get with it. Fingers crossed.

 

@mynet yep all changed inside and out only took 12 hrs to
find it then change it as well as the play lines color code,
have also changed the arrows to white in the browser
to help tell what folder or sub-folder your in ,the main folders are lighter as well.

@albackwardz welcome along, best tip i can give ya is if you start with the rcdata folder
as it's a good place to start to try out a few colors before getting in to deep.

hi some of the code i used will change other things as well,have add a few patches and snapshots to help ya.
but its a guessing games how some code works,just have lots off bakups before messing around.
looks like your getting there as well

This is what changing the code will do to the mixer lines
but you can mess around with it till you find something you like or even change other parts of the code
around where the patches take you,
have added volume handle patches and two for the numbers and lines on the mixer if you need them.
i have a few more patches that ill post that could help if i can find them again.

Thanks a bunch! Yes Ive been working on my skin for a while and could not find a handful of things! So thank you for helping me out. I really appreciate it a lot and your skin looks amazing! You have made much more progress than anyone! So congrats!

 

Btw momo, have you found a faster way of moving the color values over to new updates? It seems that everything has to be done over again. Thanks’

 

Update: just found out how to make the step seq blocks light up entirely when playing a pattern. It was by mistake but it looks really nice! Has anyone found out where the location of the active step block color is? It’s sort of a white color.

 

@Grudge After every update ive had to start again,we even have to do the rcdata again by hand so its worth waiting
till most bugs are fixed before trying to redoing any updates.

I found the step blocks the worse part to do,im still not sure how it works
but have changed the white active blocks to a few other colors will have a look at it again.
Cound you send us the patch for the block lights ,i got the blue blocks to light up fully
and the dark blocks still use the default light would be nice to have the two light up the same.

 

Wait which blocks did you get to light up? So far I only got one set to light up. I should have clarified that but I’m also looking for the other set like you. I got the white blocks for the red steps to light up and changed their color. I’m still looking for the location for the grey active blocks. Have you found these? I will post my patch for you to look at when I get home. Thanks

Have got the two blocks to light up
but it only works on some colors,im still not even sure what im doing lol
Have also added a few other patches that you can try out,

P.S.
There is a patch called
browser folders dark new ,playlist line white and arrow white
it has alot off patched added into it,there are also singel patches
in the same folder as well as a ,folder color patch ,that could have to be added
after the big patch ,you can then change them to what ever color you like
but its a gessing game what folder color you get eveytime you change something.

if you like you can just add the big patch to your dll if it looks ok
as it took 12 hrs to find and change the color to the way i wanted them
the browser is just dark and the line white so its a all round patch
that should work on any skin,
