I am talking about the never ending main synth.

    As far as I got:

    - It's panned
    - delayed
    - vibrato / detune lfo
    - Velocity and panning might have an element of randomness?
-There's an short decay Envelope on the cutoff

It's a very acidy sound, but whenever I try to recreate it, it lacks the depth and analogue vibe.

Is this even recreatable without analogue gear??? If so, what Vst would be able to do that?

    Thanks so much!

    Not that difficult to pin-point.

Low pluck sound with velocity control that opens to a brighter tone.

If I knew the answer, I had probably achieved recreating it by know, but theres something i am missing! the pluck doesnt sound aggressive, it sounds round and full. What wavetable would you presume this is? It must somehow have something to do with the filter...

    any vst ideas are welcome!

Also do you think the bass has its own sound or is it the same thing pitched?

    heres a take on it

Already tried mate, definitely came close, one of my fav synths, thanks for the suggestion. Love the filter on it. I really suck at sound design and all the presets i tried to work with didnt have that bottom end. I am tempted to say the bass is a different preset than the main sound, it just didnt sound as round and full bodied, even with -12 midis added to it

Thanks for the suggestion! Ill check it out

    Here's my take:
You hear two sequences. The first one (which sounds to be in higher register at first) is 12 steps long, with accents programmed in a 2-2-3 pattern.
The second one (at first sounding like a bass but really is the acid sequence but with the highs cut off) is 16 steps long.
Due to the polyrhythmic character of these two loops, they meander along in an ever changing character.
    On the sounds:
The first sequence, and I got that wrong in the first place, is most likely a SH-101, probably triggered by it's own seqencer. It's a square wave with the saw added a little bit plus the sub osc, which you tried to recreate with -12 midi notes added. Later in the track you can hear the noise osc dialed in and out. As vst, my go-to emulation is the TAL-BassLine-101.
The second sequence is a 303 imho, square mode.
The drum machine is a 909.
Luke Slater works with two synths and one drum machine for his latest releases. My bet is that he patches them through effect pedals, the filter doesn't sound stock to me.
On your attempt: The synths are not auto panned, they are dead centre. The panning effect is achieved by a ping pong delay.

Read the links for further theory :)

I think you're missing the FX . The patch/es need tape/analog style delay tones:

Some LFO on panning on the dry. 8th-note and dotted 4th-note delay to fill up the counter-rhytm.

Luke Slater use a lot SH101, (he has 6 units).
    Try TAL-Bassline 101 or D16 LUSH101 for 101 emulation.
If you use DIVA, you will not go wrong :)
The bass line is made with more than one synth, they are 2 or more.

You won't. It's currently in beta-presale at acustica. They offer 1 month trials x 2.
