    could be a killer combo if they up their game in other areas as well... and while they're at it .. go ahead and
    make maschine a standalone interface.... instead of just going all out with bloated bells and whistles...
    not feeling great today so this may come across as "testy"

    You can call it a stupid question .. or maybe a dumb one... why do you think this is a good idea ?
    something more than a simple convenience ?

    Because I want to see NI set up a sequencer like they did for FM8 and Massive but specifically for a drum machine.
    All the bells and whistles...and kicks and snares and high hats too.

    Maschine doesn’t count.

    There’s no such thing as a stupid question.

    Totally agree. After reaching a critical mass, when users can't get around them (defacto standard), all big software vendors take this step (Adobe, Autodesk...)

    PR speech bubbles aside: It's by design of a private equity - they are there to press every $ out of their investment.
    Things we will see first is higher prices and more copy protection.

    How cool would it be if vendors went the Sylenth1 monthly subscription route:)? Also komplete kontrol desperately needs to be worked on this year. I am sure they are focused on that right now.

    Hope they go into instrument modeling (like IK MODO Bass), which they used to do pretty well. Sick of bloatware Kontakt libraries that take years to load up and don't sound dynamic at all.
