How to get this kind of Distortion in Bass?

    In this track:



    Prominent at 1:10 and onwards.

    Not sure how to get that sort of distortion. I am guessing it is some sort of decimate distortion? Any tips or advice to point me in the right direction?

    If you have Spire, try out fbtri and fbsin in the distortion module. it should give you the foundation of this sound, but will probably need some further processing to get there.

    Add another "bass layer", distort it and filter it (filter out lows, so it has more mids and highs). Add SC compression tosteady 4/4 kick or ghost kick.
    It's pretty basic once you get your head around it.
