    Windows 7, Stylus RMX 1.9.5d, 64 bit (in S1v3.5)
After replacing an old (non system) hard drive with the new one while preserving the same drive letter, content and with the same folder tree structure, Stylus reports "SAGE Folder not found. Would you like to locate it?"
Clicking OK opens an empty Stylus window with a photo of Stylus RMX retail box on the left and almost empty GUI with nothing to select.
Although the SAGE content path is the same, I have created a new link to the folder on the new disk and placed it in. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Spectrasonics" folder and it doesn't work.
Putting back the old drive (which recently started making "I am dying" clicking sounds) makes it work.

Rarely using this plugin and can't find installation backup, so any tip on how to make Stylus find its way to the Sage folder on the replacement disk without reinstall will be greatly appreciated.

use acronis to clone your old drive
it may take a while with bad sectors. let it run overnight

    Thanks for the suggestion.
Why do you think this will help? The created link to Sage on the new drive works properly (when I click on it), Sage folder structure is 100% the same as on the old disk only Stylus doesn't accept it as if it need some additional info about the disk. Besides the path, the drive letter and name of the disk are the same so I wonder if there is anything else about the location that Stylus is looking for?

did you rename the link-shortcut properly ( i guess so ... since it works with your old hdd)
also - case sensitive - verify again the link name and path

    Of course.
Link is correct and works, Stylus doesn't recognize it on new drive.
There is another location with the link: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spectrasonics
which is also with correct path to the drive.
I tried deleting links hoping that Stylus would be more determined to find it, but it isn't.

I found out if I click on "cancel" when "SAGE Folder not found. Would you like to locate it?" dialog appears, plug in will load the GUI properly but no libraries will be available in plugin browser section. If I want to load a multi or a part with floppy icon on the bottom right and navigate to the proper content folder it will start loading a preset but will inform me about "the missing element the cause of which is either not installed or moved content" as many times as there are missing elements. The message window doesn't offer to navigate to the proper path as for example Kontakt does when a sample is missing.
The relative folder structure on my disk is correct and all content is available but the Stylus isn't linked to it because obviously the link to Sage folder isn't enough. Despite the correct Sage link it still doesn't accept the new hard drive and I can't find a way to either link or navigate Stylus to the content.

    SOLUTION:
I searched for SAGE on system disk and found SAGE links in:
    C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spectrasonics
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Spectrasonics
    C:\Program Files\VstPlugins
All were pointing to the same proper Sage folder on another drive which StylusRMX didn't "catch".
I deleted all of them and copied again SAGE link to all those folders and Stylus finally accepted it.

I don't know if so many folders with Sage links are there by Spectrasonic's design or if it was a result of numerous updates and I don't remember if at some point I had to uninstall old and install the new version which went to a different folder by default.

Anyway it worked for me and might help somebody here in the future.
    Case closed.
