How can I use the following SDX in SD3:

    - Roots (Brushes and Mallets): Both are detected but need an update apparently.
    - Rock Warehouse: Not even detected by SD3

I understand that the updates can be downloaded from a leggit Toontrack account: Someone might have access to these by chance?

    Any other solution?

Could you elaborate just a little pls?
Just that almost sounds as though your scanning for an uninstalled or unrecognised sd3 or EZ series expander??

On this SD3 Settings screenshot, the Roots libs are detected by SD3:

But when I try to load it, this is what I get:

Same goes for the Roots Sticks lib.

And while we are at it, where do I put all my MIDI packs so I can use them in SD3 Grooves screen?

    Thanks for your help!

You can put the midi data in via program files x86 /commonfiles/toontrack/midi....
I didnt realise thats what you meant at first.."Bout updating".....

Yeah ive had exactly the same kinda Prob before with libs...
However...."Not sure if ill be able to help"....
I resolved the problem i had by running the updater, that pirat posted for a bunch of the ezx series libraries...

Thing is,tht i cant find a seperate "roots" update...

    Else idve thrown it ovr....
    ..
Im assuming your using a cracked sd3...
Course, else youdve gone to update direct...
Im Sure someone on here,s able to do more for you tho to help ya out m8!

    Thanks for your feedback,

I tried to put the MIDI files as you suggested in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\MIDI and restarted the SD3 plugin but it didn't help: Any idea what I am missing here?

If you want SDX packs to work then you need to keep SD2 installed (as well) for now, because the cracks/updates haven't been written yet! Except for American Drummer Volume 1 ( I think it is)

    @Sylenth.Will.Fall thanks.
Just what I was afraid of.

I only wanted to use SD3 engine/GUI but didn't consider downloading the 230 GB library since I'm already more than happy with what I use. And for some reasons SD3 doesn't even detect the MIDI packs.

Oh well, let's get back to SD2 then.

Ha Yes!! Exactly as you phrased it my friend!!
I thought that tho sd3,s reading that the samples are present, that chances are, runnin em off sd2 instead wouldve been fine

Had a headfuck moment n my Mind went a little blank.....

    Errm...

Hmmm yeah i had a problem wth the metal foundry midi data...
No matter if i put it into where i suggested already, or to a custom install location as i have..>
Still i couldnt get it to run..
Despite the fact that i know its there,i can see it>
Heh Heh But computer says no!!

Never got round to working out why!

Im assuming youve tried as i did ,and essentially copyied your midi data into the main installtion...

As well as progfilesx86 /common etc

    Guys,

Long story short, I'm getting back to SD2 until this SD3 mess is fixed. Thanks for your assistance with this! :)
