Hey everyone!

Semi-Kontakt noob here, but I've been having trouble getting Sample Logic: Gamelan to load into Kontakt. I'm using Kontakt 5.6.5, and when I try to add the library through the "Add Library" function, I get the "No Library Found" error. If I try to manually drag the .nki file into the quick load area, it says that the library must be added using the "Add Library" button.

After a bunch of researching, I think that the problem is that the SNPID in my .nicnt is incorrect. Either that, or the .nicnt file in my folder has been corrupted. The SNPID in my .nicnt file is "628," and after looking at some SNPID lists here on the forums, the only match that I've found for that SNPID corresponds to Native Instruments Discovery Series: Gamelan, which I'm pretty sure is not the right library. Could anyone with a working SL: Gamelan library check their .nicnt file and confirm this?

Some other information that could be helpful, is that since I've never used this library before, there are no .xml files in the Service Center folder, nor are there any SL: Gamelan files in the registry. I only have 3 other libraries, so there were no SNPID conflicts when I checked my SNPID's. Should I just try creating a .xml file and dropping it into my Service Center folder? That wass another option that I was thinking about, but I have no idea how to make an .xml file.

For me Kontakt remains a black box and I have had to try just abut every solution I could find on this forum once for this or that library. Fortunately so far I got all but 2 or 3 libraries to work but for me it's trial and error. Mostly I use tools like KLM4.0 NICNT-Generator and others I've found here and there but sometimes adding an .XML is the way to go. Here's how (I copied it from somewhere/someone probably on audiosex so thanks should go to him/her):

1) xml file from a working library
2) the nicnt file of the library that keeps dissapearing
Steps:
1) Go to Program Files\ Common Files\ Native Instruments\ Service Center, find an xml file from a working library copy it to your Desktop and open it with WordPad.
3) Open the nicnt file of the library that keeps dissapearing (with WordPad).
4) From the nicnt file if you look carefully and compare the two files you will notice that they are similar, copy the part that looks similar (i hope it looks!) and paste it into the xml file.
5) You will find a spot in the script of the nicnt file that looks like this <Name>Library Name</Name> you have to rename the xml file as the name between the two <Name>.
6) Save the file as .xml file
7) Copy it to Service Center where the rest of the xml files are located.
