There are no rules. Just remember that Haas introduces comb filtering when summed to mono. Just a heads up.

Generally any directional (hi freq / reflective) sound will benefit from Haas. Omnidirectional (low freq / "penetrating") sound is kinda best dry & central. Try sounds. Learn?

    - I mean, (there are no =) rules are there to be broken, but best stick to those two? Unless mud & noise & phasey mess is ur goal?

I mix using the LCR technique. Haas effect is what I use when I don't want something to be hard right, center, or hard left for some tracks, but I stick to LCR as much as possible. LCR seems anti-intuitive if you have never tried it, but the more you stay on it the easier it is to avoid phase problems or frequency masking. I found a little reading material: https://www.sageaudio.com/blog/pre-mastering-tips/use-haas-effect.php

There is no rules for it .. It is not like fundamental mixing steps , it is more like production. I use it but i know for what i need to use it

i wouldn't limit the amount of time u use an effect as long as its not creating problems on the " mixbus = your whole mix " your good.
