i just got it today i didnt realize ive probably been tracked without knowing

 

do you need even if u have vpn?

 

I dont use it or anything similar i dont care if anyone takes anything from my computer im not hiding anything and important stuff is locked away i just take an approach of dealing with files directly on my pc instead of virtual buttons and shortcuts ( like dos days)

you can bypass some commercials tracking but ...
we are all tracked by our gouv...and our access providers (they are friends)
and access providers resaling customers infos to commercial companies

it's not so much about who is tracking you, though there are legitimate concerns. it's more about which programs on your computer are trying to 'phone' home. you'd be amazed how much traffic is generated by programs including your OS that are constantly contacting other sites. many are legit and necessary, some less so...little snitch helps you keep track and control who you allow to connect from your machine.

 

Not at all whatsoever... I just do not have wifi goin during the time DAW is open or during an install of something.. it's really that easy, i mean... or so it seems

 

How do you know ? by using Little Snitch 4 map ?

so you don't care if you software communicate uncontrolled with home ? But I am sure you only use bought software , so it doesn't matter.

 

what about background jobs which regularly run from not only DAW software , you take care of them using lingonx?

 

Little Snich do not alter your ip or location

 

if it was a concern, i would directly deal with the computer files in question ( the c++ or level up)

It tells you what software is trying to connect where, so i dont actually know if i was being tracked but i do know software was "phoning home"

 

i use "Hands Off!" for mac. I find it excellent, it has similar functionality to little snitch

 

I use TinyWall and block everything except browser and few applications that do need internet access

I use to have NetLimiter on my computer, asking for authorization everytime something try to use the connexion. Now I don't have anything installed, as my main computer for music don't have a wifi card anymore.

But this Little Snitch seems to worth a try, even if I don't really need it on my internet computer, it can maybe save some connexion debt
