I would like to present a short track, such a brief history about the native peoples of America.

Atmospherically emotive (due to sound selection) but musically not so much intelligent and imaginative. Sorry, it was just my opinion.

Thank you for your opinion, but I still learning orchestration, it would be simpler if I was a musician.

For making musical stuff you don't need to be a musician or even scrutinize the classical repertoire to obtain further assurance. In playing out with notes, just set aside your diffidence and dismay. It's the only thing you need.

    BTW, I forgot one thing. Don't listen to @MMJ2017 's view.

Please listen to this song. Just get the vocal out and extract the music beneath it. As you hear nothing remains. Harmony in these kinds of works is independent from the melody (voice) and just supports it rhythmically and makes it sounds so richer. Today POP&ROCK songs horizontally follow the same structure:

You can make thousands of songs like this one (yes takes years) because crafting its basic idea is so simple and don't need to be much conversant with the tortuous compositions due to the semi-independence of melody and harmony. I suggest to invest on these kinds of compositions (in any genre you like) then you'd find your own way.:winker:

I hate it. Scoring in them is like me rambling on without any orientation or even much worse.

I listened to your song, I found my way a long time ago (thank you for advise). My progress is getting better every 10 songs, compared to what I created at the beginning.
This simply means that I need less instruments and effects to make better music. Cheers

Making natty music is rather different than having progress in production. In productions you're just honing your underlying style ...

Anyway if I continue more I'll be cussed and kicked so let's tie up the loose ends here.

While we're at film scoring: For sure I've heard worse soundtracks in TV features.
I don't get the "history" part, though.
The voice samples themselves may be authentic, but to me they seem to be completely out of context.
Don't get me wrong: you've made music perfectly usable for soundtrack work, I just can't find any Native American History within it.
Just sell it to the directors...

  17. Nice song Recoil. Though the songs that use drums usually don't have a stuttered grove, but more like this...
