speakin of 28 days later... member this frickin song?

 

This track was probably produced by an experienced team because i just listened to one of their older releases and its a very muddy production.

 

I never "got" the appeal of this band's music. Maybe it's that the swelling crescendo of otherwise-monotonous, protracted pieces, most of which are in the same key, is dramatic enough, and the instrumentation novel or "cultured" enough, for gloomy arty white kids, and the band's underground popularity enough superficial "cred" for mainstream arty types, but as anything but calmative background music to play while poppin' a squat to confront heavy constipation, it's insubstantial.

 

So far wide of the mark you're practically in a different time zone.

 

Naah, these guys are twits, I prefer real metal...

 

Maybe if someone from godspeed wore the big sunglasses everyone has on their avatard, you'd love em :D

nah it's cool though... no frustration...

but the comments were funny I admit... their practical use as a laxative was fresh... and "the arty white kids" was even better.

And so the guys not into Godspeed... what are your thoughts on Sonic Youth... they get noisy... and there's definitely masking... and muddiness... and dischord... were you ever into them at all?.. albeit when you were probably in 7th grade... but still...

 

I really like Sonic Youth but, they should find someone to get some clarity and instrument separation in their mixes. Don't they know how to legit tune a guitar?? and maybe autotune to tighten'up Thurston's weaknesses on the mic. And when we clear up the mix, we'll realise they're are problems with harmonic progression and chords, maybe clean that up a bit and have a proper progression. Then, we'll have a legit soundman approved legit rock song. Boring as f**k, but fully legit.
