Hi peeps,

did anyone else here experienced the same shit as I did?
It did work before but suddenly it started to continuously make noise. Made my shit clip as hell!

Anyway, it's such a great synth and I really thought of buying it, but then I read @ KVR Forums that even 'Legit' users where having the same problems. That made me not do it.

Is there anybody who can tell me how to get rid of the noise and start making some wicked sounds again?

yeah this is true after i have this problem i buy the real one and i have a same problem but just in mac os x 10.6.8 but i have installed in my second hard drive it run with 10.7.4 it work very good i think the problem is the cracked on if you set up and after you instal the real one it no work

Firstly this is what cakewalk support wrote to me:


First, Let's run a clean install of the program. To do this,
You should try uninstalling and reinstalling your Z3TA+2 libraries to get everything up and in working order.

To wipe out your Z3TA+2 directories simply delete the following files and folders:
Macintosh HD\Library\Audio\Plug-ins\Components\z3ta2-wrapper.component
Macintosh HD\Library\Audio\Plug-ins\VST3\z3ta2.vst3
Macintosh HD\Users\"UserName"\Documents\Z3TA2
This is the Content Location (Back this up)
Macintosh HD\Library\Audio\Presets\Cakewalk
This is the Preset Location (Back this up)
When you reinstall Z3TA+2, these should be the file paths that the above files should default to when installing.

Afterwards, you will want to download then install the appropriate updates and free Expansion Packs for Z3TA+2 from our website.

This should eliminate any software irregularities that are causing your problem, but let us know if it does not.

Second,
There are two .plist files that are generated once this trial period is over. They are called tts plist, and com.cakewalk.z3ta2. You should able to find them if you go to User\Library\Preferences\ByHost and delete them. If not, make sure to check the other locations that are specified in the clean install directions.

Lastly,
Once these are deleted download a fresh installer for Z3TA+2 and you will have the ability to enter your registration code the next time you instantiate Z3TA+2 within a DAW.

No it's not... I now have 3 Mac's on 3 operating systems and my "unpurchased" Z3TA+2 works fine on all 3... (switched to Mac 5 years ago because PC's suck. PC's are slow as f*ck...)

 

i do all you say "Pipi" no work for me but i have find a solution .

PS:I have two hard drive with two os x on my mac pro .

1-I installed cakewalk Z3ta+ 2 in 10.7.4 and after instaling i registered with Serial+Reg Code
2-after that i copy the com.cakewalk.z3ta+2.0xxxxxxxxxxxxx.plist from (User\Library\Preferences\ByHost)
3-past this file in my mac os x 10.6.8 (User\Library\Preferences\ByHost)

and all work now

I must correct you.

It is a Z3ta+2/Mac issue and it is confirmed by Cakewalk support. And a lot of other Mac users with legal copies of Z3ta2+

that the your warez copies works dont change that

 

No this is NOT a cakewalk issue.... this is a clear issue of using the crack before actually using the purchased one. Your Plist Files are actually interacting.... i was just on the phone with them and there is one step your skipping, someone here almost had it right.... BUT in users/library/preferences --- go into "ByHost" from there you will need to do a search for a Z3TA+2 plist. file there and that should clean out all the registry codes. After deleting all the files required, and the plist files in both places, restart your computer & reinstall the plugin. Those who are using the the legal version (such as i) will be able to submit their registration code when are prompt to open the synthesizer for the 1st time.

That should help you guys out.

There is a KNOWN issue of the synthesizer not being to open in digital performer!! Sucks cause my partner uses this daw.

 

firstly I have not used any cracked version of Z3ta2. I bought The Vst already when it was only a windows version. And got it installed immediately on my Mac when that version was released.
When after some time the vst started not to work, I contacted cakewalk support, which came with a list of solutions. Nothing of it worked.....until I edited the plist file.
