Get one mono speaker like the avantone mixcube or the behringer behritone to check your mixes in mono, you will be able to see a lot clearer.

How about this latest one? Better on the bottom end?

I'm using this cheap Bluetooth speaker hooked up for reference checking as well.

    Yep still too much bro.
Looks like a cool lil speaker, although the avantone or the behritone will let you know how the mix sits in the mids and upper mids since it completely cuts off the bottom end.
How much are you cutting on those guitars?
Do you have the stems for the instruments? If i will have some time i will look into it, cant promise though as i am busy with my own stuff.

The performance here is the bigger issue. The band just needs to deliver a tighter performance. Its hard to get a proper mix when the dynamics are not quite there.

Something tells me the band was inspired by this track. :metal:BTW, saw them live, cool band.

    My Profile:

    https://soundcloud.com/dee-p-tree

Most of tracks are created by one freeware synth only. Some are old remix experiments using samples (not part of embedded playlist, available at profile page only).

Here they are as sound design, music production practice.

Whoever has heard them, says... All of these tracks badly mixed. Fact is they are mixed by myself using cheap mobile headphones and they are not at all mastered.

So, Don't waste your time visiting this soundcloud profile.

Improvement can be noticed (from bottom to top) but still not good quality.

    Thanks to everybody.

    My latest EDM

My Hiphop. Not my vox but I made the beat and recorded them in my closet encapsulated with auralex, fuk my whole room was concrete, even the ceiling :( lol. 2010 or so

Some more HipHop. This is an oldie. Mix is off, way before I had real monitors and auralex foam. All I had was a AT4040

My old rock band. I played bass. Mix is off. That gtr tho, cant do that stuff with a kontakt lib. Drums and bass are over dubbed/programmed, strings too. Old stuff I was still a n00b....

Some of my ol skool breaks, from like 2004 when breaks were still kinda big in the florida underground scene. I was just starting out then and gigging/live pa.

Another Hiphop beat I just made recently

I have alot more but......The inspiration can take you anywhere. Im just as comfortable/confident/convincing making jazz or deathmetal, to reggae or gospel/country (zzzzzzzz) or even dubstep or trap/future bass. Music is music, theres only 2 kinds really.....

Don't have a clue about EDM but sounds better to me that several ones I've heard on the radio ))

That's the spirit! Your style is too hard for me even having a clue about the quality but don't be shy to share and also be honest and humble about the good critics and ignore the destructive ones.

Hey man, welcome to the forums. Dont be afraid to ask for advice or help. We ALL were n00bz before. For your very first song, Its actually a whole song with parts which is a lot more than most. For some it takes years just to get past making only 30 sec - 1 min snippets ask @foster911 . I understand its your first attempt and your style is still raw and undeveloped but I can also see youre trying to get creative with the changeups/transitions, plus the vocoder bits and the ending (the ending shows your sense of humor as well as the name of the song, lol) They will only get better as long as your willing to put in the work and time to get better. Keep em coming!

Really nice for a first attempt. My only real criticisms are maybe a thicker snare and the kick could be louder. But considering your experience level, these are hardly criticisms. Nice one, dude.

Yessssss...If you're on the fence? Post ur stuff/ make an account....etc. That's what this community is all about. If it wasn't for this community and online mentoring, I would have been stuck watching a million hours of dumbed down tutorials where they don't show you the real stuff, just the basics and a lot of conflicting misinformation :truth: ...... Wasting my time! IJS
