i say quick but still took days lol
will not be changing it again soon i hope and am adding more into the dark blues and red and black,

It would be perfect if Picker panel and side bars db meter were black

They look a bit messy to me

@bravesounds not sure what you meen about picker panel
if its the eq box i can't change it at the moment or the db meter
there are still a few other things that can't be found yet
but ill look into it again when doing the other two.

Eddit: i know where the picker panel is now lol still half asleep
only the top bar on it was changed with the template
if you recolor them to black is sort of adds a darker shade to it
but it still looks gray maybe even worse,

@VisualAudio we be getting there ,if only IL told us where the rest of the code is it would save us days looking for it
a good gui can improve sales by over 10 %

@momo i am hoping too that image line shud release some code too change the things and yes it will surely improve the sales.I mean people are fed up of same gui. Which is why i started skinning the fl engine at first place

I wouldn't complain if IL released a dark theme or something

 

There's no brown, it's completely greyscale. It's because you're used to looking at Blue. ;)

I completely agree. I would love to see FLStudio allow for more customization on their UI. Tighten things up, to give us more workspace.

Two more updates Dark blues has three version to chouse from this is number 1 there is also a new template
and black & red has a few bits added to it ,the black and red would also look nice with gold and purple added some time...
But when you find yourself clicking on fl studio and asking why it won't play and i can't even add a beat into it
saying what did i do wrong this time and now it won't even close ...only to realise your clicking on a png its time to take a brake lol

Tip of the day when changing the rail color under the play button to match your skin
you will find it still goes green no matter what you do when it's set to play on the playlist
to get around this change
RailSize to 0 RailPressSize to 0
and RailOutline to 1 or 2 this removes the green stuff.

 

Something I've noticed is if you switch from one skin to another (switch fl engine's), some elements of the previous will remain unless you go to templates and switch to the new one. So I went from the second to last black skin (the one released on audioz) to the lastest black and red, and then switched back cause I preferred the former's color, and I got the black mixer with the former black skin, which is what I really liked from the black and red version. However after reloading a project it returns completely to the new skin.

EDIT: Nvm, I've just realized this is due to loading up old projects not saved with the template enabled. Old projects set the mixer to default and some playlist elements.

Yes you need to save your projects from that template

 

Yeah all future projects should look fine, no way to really get the old ones completely skinned yet though.

The last step is to implement a preview code I made for another installer
based on a code snipped I found on Stackoverflow. I already sent this code
to a friend from az so maybe there will be more installers like this in future.
Only problem is - I want to minimize the use of plugins in my installers and
so I have to rewrite the code to work with the plugs I already have but that's
almost done.
Good thing is, in the theme selector I can compress the skins very much so
150MB of skinned dll's result in a just 20MB package compressed.



Ps. Yeh, the theme selection is just not ready. In the end there is just one theme
selectable and I'll add an option to use patched (R2R, r4e) or unpatched (for legit users)
dll's so it will fit for all FL users. But that will increase the size a little bit.

Btw. When you want to change the grid color in piano roll and in the playlist manually,
do it in regedit (Use ColorMania and set it to "Powerbuilder"):

ps. After frustrated deletion of my Theme Selector script with the image preview,
which didn't want to work together with my custom ui installer code, I finally found
another way to integrate this code. I had to rewrite the script completely but now
it works (almost) - wohoo.



Now I just have to hover the mousepointer over the entries and an image shows up in a
custom form window. The last thing is to add some description text area.
