I still use my MK1.... and was mad when they came out with the MK2, then they dropped the Studio which was a game changer and had me wanting one but I stayed with my MK1. I'm not gonna run out and buy the MK3 but the Audio I/O Interface as well as that touch thing they added are major game changers... I'm gonna wait and see what they drop next because I can't see anyone buying the maschine studio over the Mk3.. and based on past history and common sense.. NI is probably going to drop a new version of the studio. Glad I kept my MK1 but will be paying attention to what NI has coming next.

Yeah I have to agree. The only reason anyone would have purchased Maschine Studio is for the color screens. I never liked that jog wheel, just feels like it takes up unnecessary real estate for what it does. Now that the MK3 has color screens, touch strip, interface improvements and audio interface, I'm not really sure what else they could add to the Studio that would make it worth paying extra for.

I'm the same ,have MKI, but rarely use the hardware...
the KK keys has integration with maschine ,including the touch thing ( :winker: ) might myself just get that although the price of studio has dropped to be cheaper than the MKIII.....dunno

The MK3 looks great and would be a superb buy for any new Maschine user. With a built in interface and sleek design not many would complain. I will personally wait to see if they drop a new Studio model on us. I mean the only thing I care about really is the software. As that's the only thing that can propel Maschine forward are new features such as realtime time stretch/pitch shift and audio tracks and the ability to record mutes and solos and so forth. The hardware is evolving and they are taking note of what makes the device more user friendly. But the software is the real driving force and they should concentrate on improving it. Instead of dressing the controller like a dogs dinner every couple of years.

Lastly I must say I find it strange that the MK3 has no phantom power. Really weird. It Is like they brought out the ice cream Sunday without the cherry on top. No Condensor Mic's? Makes me wonder if they do plan on introducing audio tracks at all? Who knows?
