Way to choose a name already well known in the audio production world. Marketing fail 101.

 

I've iOS and I will never make music with it. A "real" computer is far a better solution.What a shitty product !

 

I assume that as soon as Reveal Sound get to hear about this product, they are going to look at all their legal options. iZotope definitely should have never used the word "Spire" in their product knowing there is already an established product of the same name already out years before. Well, unless they can prove that they trademarked that word/term way before Reveal Sound. I guess it's gonna be interesting to see if Reveal Sound will not file a motion to stop iZotope from using the same name for the software part of the unit or the whole product.

 

I'm sure they know. They have a synth - Iris. There is no way that they don't know about the competition. I like iZotope's stuff, but I can't excuse this. Hahaha, they knew what they were doing. Reveal Sound is almost legally obligated to contest this.

I've got better name for that: "The Fall of Izotope: Beginning"

 

Huhmmm!! Not quite It maybe the fall of one of their product (and its idea), some kick in the butt here and there but I can't see iZotope as a whole start falling. No hardline users of their Ozone, RX, Neutron, and other of their products will suddenly stop using them. Well, at least I can't see that affecting them to such a point.

 

I've found the music demos (http://www.spire.live/) to be profoundly muddied. The vocals in these songs sound almost undecifrable to me. Of course, it can be that my headphones/speakers are shitty (and they are) but I don't feel this product would add anything to my productions.

 

I missed the whole "smart" phone and tablet thing, Even though I have the things I really do not use them for anything more than a phone (obviously), (anti-social) media when I'm in the mood or I want to catch up with friend's that it's too expensive to phone, Taking pictures as the cameras in the things are plenty enough quality for my simple needs, Text messages and thats about it. I'll sometimes use the tablet for watching youtube and the like but i find this laptop far more simple/easy.

Even though I'm not even in my mid thirties yet, I have two Children from an extremely, couldn't of been a more epic fail of a marriage/relationship with a female that played sane just long enough before showing the real side of herself, Long story but the end is having a Son whom is 14 years old and a Daughter whom is 12 years old. I have full legal custody of them and they haven't seen their mother in nine years, Probably getting closer to 10 years, That was Her choice, Not me blocking or being a nasty piece of shit like She was/is that used the Children as weapons or tried to. Family court is a painful, lengthy process of hell but I was straight up honest throughout, Always represented the Children and Myself as real as possible and prevailed, Yeah I know rare for a guy to get custody.
Anyway as any of you will know, Kid's are just sick fast and master all this technology rapidly, So they both have the "smart" iPhones and iPads amongst plenty of other stuff, Neither has the patience to teach me how to use the damned one's I've got, It's all the swiping and gestures that one has to perform which confuses me/is not natural even though I play guitar and bass guitar to a pretty high level of skill...It's not the same at all to me at least.

If it does what they say it does and people using their phones and tablets for audio stuff then good luck/hope it works out well, There are so many options app wise and hardware which is compatible or works with even if not "officially" via that camera connection kit thingy magijig and plenty without the need too. The more choice/competition the better as it keeps everything competetive and that's always good no matter whatever the area/market may be as potential buyer's get the best possible lowest price, So in that regard long may that continue

All the best, If you enjoy using your phone and/or tablet for audio stuff then cool and why the heck not if you know how to navigate the bloody things!!!
