Plugin awards?

    I have stumbled upon the term "award-winning plugins" several times, I particularly remember Waves and McDSP as examples. Yet I have never heard of any particular awards ceremony for plugin manufacturers, and google doesn't show results either.

    Who are those institutions giving awards to plugin manufacturers, and what kind of awards are they handling?

    Its mostly magazines who gives this awards and its either an editors choice or a readers choice type of awards.

    Theres your answer. Also sometimes kvr held contests (not sure if they still held contests now) and winners are also coined as "award winning"

    Waves. The Technical Grammy also went to Celemony in 2012
