The hardest thing for me is knowing what drums fit nicely with the track.

Have a listen to this for me please and tell me if you think they fit? Thank you in advance!

Good job. But (according to my taste) it is necessary to apply more presence in Hi-Hat and bass drum.

Thanks. It's certainly something I'll consider doing in the next project.

I don't think they fit, because i think that almost everything besides the snare is way too quiet.

Sorry bro, but this sounds like a karaoke MIDI file. Don't mean to be harsh or offensive, but to me these drums sound like nothing more than a pre-built preset from some third class software. There's no presence in them, and they sound way too underproduced. But that's only my two cents, and I'm no Quincy Jones

I think the drums are okay. It's 70's drums right?
what bugs me is the obvious keyboard 'fall' on the horn lines.
Try playing each note individually like a normal horn section for timing variance. Quick pitchbend on attacks on some notes maybe.

    Where's the guitar line?
You know a vocalist that can do this song justice?

I would lower the highs on the snare (maybe only in the reverb), make the bassdrum and the hihat (which hihat) louder and then listen again.

    K thank you!

It's ok I did ask for honest opinions, it's the only way to improve.. right?

I will definitely take that (The horn section) on board, thanks. The guitar is a bit of a sore point at the moment, but I'm always on the look out for a lead vocalist

    Thank you for your input.

You'll need two decent singers for this one. Great song and chords.
