Turn off your internet guys... Should have taken a screen shot but turn off your internet when you produce. Interestingly windows firewall caught the attempt... I also have VPN but still. Sketchy. Never seen that before.

No offence but this should fit perfect for the title " Confirmed i Illegally installed Ableton and Omnisphere after accessing my PC"

Jumping to conclusions much?! I was going to note the funny thing is that I have purchased ableton and a push 2 but I guess you want to sit here on your high horse and make accusations.

Steve, why don't you start your conversations with hi, hello, etc. It's really impolite to jump to the point without those rudiments.:dunno:

My true identity has been forsaken on here for many years. I have SF Greatest Hits Volume 2 but won't release until I receive my real user name back.

e.g. to control what is and what is not allowed to use my internet connection.
I always block everything unless I see the necessity for it to contact any server.

Remember Sony, spreading millions user datasets all over the planet/Anroid software selling user data/...
So better you control your data. Anytime.

There's a little utility called "Windows firewall control". Costs just a few bucks and helps you to better and easier control what is blocked by windows firewall. In standard (medium) mode it will block ALL outbound connections until you allow them explicitly.

btw: @Peter Krav Following your logic, the use for a Firewall is only useful for copyright infringers and pirates.
Would you suspect Microsoft to provide a tool just for those people?

A little story about false assumtions:
A scientist is sitting in his lab working on flies' sensoric capabilities.
He starts yelling at the fly sitting on his table "FLY AWAY!" and the fly does it.
In a second step he cuts both wings off the fly and then yells again "FLY AWAY!". But the fly doesn't fly away.
Then he notes in his lab notebook: "Flies without wings don't hear well".

Use Zonealarm Firewall. Olymoon recommends it. I prefer Comodo firewall. Both are great. :winker:

seems all your post are starting by. Confirmed :) so far as i know. confirmed means that it is checked and confirmed by several sources not by one guy that starts every post with. Confirmed ....... This I can Confirm . :) now if you believe that Ableton has a) the people to check every pc running ableton. b) they know half are pirates, they don't care as long as they sell enough . hence their bad protection system the past 10 years. then its time for you to go completely of internet and find a treatment for your paranoia feelings

also what do you have to fear, that they see your illegal copy of Omnisphere

I use Tinywall, it uses a whitelist and blocks all programs by default unless you specifically allow them.
