Can someone recommend some good tape simulator which is good or almost good as FATSO.

I really like Waves Kramer Tapes on drums. Turn up the flutter, i tell you, you never heard you'r hihats like that.
I use Nomad Factory Magnetic on bass.. especially synthbasses. Also works fine on drums. If you make hiphop beats, try it right away.
As soulranger mentioned there allways ReelBus. I find it useful for making things sound old. However, most of the time, it makes you'r audiomaterial sound maybe a bit too old. I loses its bass, and gets very muddy.

I would say Slate VTM if you want to put money in it. Best one ever !

Waves Kramer Tape is pretty good too.

I wanted to try Magnetic II, I didn't do it so far... I'll do it later today, thanks for the reminder

 

I highly recommend Slate VTM, expensive, yes, but dang it sounds good!

For a more modest pricerange try Sknote Roundtone, also a very good tape-emu

 

Ampex ATR-102 or Studer® A800 from UAD , I know it's another price but beats every Tape simulation …
