hi i do step by step the installer,
i blocked the internet and i did this thing
with the 2k file like "sylenth will fall" said
it works but the gui has changed into dark and knobs disappear
and the sound is missing plus everytime i loaded the vst a pop up appear with the words: illegal vst delete it..

have anybody the same problem ????

I highly doubt that's the case. Try what dbmuzik said. Check your registry and erase any Tone 2 remainings. It should work. If not, it may be too late. Always remember to backup before you install next time!

dmoll if you are on Mac always use Little Snitch to block your Mac from phoning home.
I installed the same Icarus with no problems. Install and learn Little Snitch it will save you from this kind a crap.

 

For Windows DELETE Tone2 entries in your 'hosts'!
Block all per FW.

What did you block?
Don't block any tone2 software in the host or they won't work correctly.

 

I can confirm it does indeed run without issue on win764bit ,as i use it on occasion..
For the record you dont need to block a thing to get the plug to run..
Only if you plan on leaving your internet connection open,or being online at the same time would it then cause an issue, if you didnt block anything prior..
Are you on win 10?
Its possible it could be a compatibility issue.
I have had similar problems with a couple of other plugs that resulted in what your describing,
But i would suggest clearing every single reference to Tone 2 from your registry and from program files etc as suggested already...
Also i would first uninstall any other tone 2 software legit or cracked before installing icarus again......

 

I am on win 8 32 bit and i have block tone 2 in host so should i remove it.And i don't disable my internet.

 

The new version of Icarus and Electra won't run correctly if you block tone2 in the hosts.
Icarus will give you a missing GUI, blocking your DAW is the best way and read-only on all the key files.

 

Where to block DAW and all the t2k files are on read-only and electra x 2 latest don't give any gui or sound issue even after blocking it in host.
