Fabfilter evaluation issue

    I have a small but annoying issue with the fabfilter plugins. Recently I rearranged my plugin folder to be more organized and now all of my fabfilter plugins are unauthorized, and any attempt at using a keygen simply won't work.

    I've tried blocking my DAW through my firewall, I've launched everything as admin, I've tried restarting, reinstalling, restarting again, made sure I copied *everything* in the keygen, but every time I paste my key into the respective plugin (I'll use Micro as an example since it's the first one) yet once I restart it just asks for my key again. I've tried various other torrents as well. Any ideas?

    Windows or Mac, U didn't specify? So, for Windows users: after deinstalling, delete all FabFilter folder in C:\Users\YourPc\Documents\, C:\Users\YourPc\AppData\Roaming and C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs, Look somewhere in the registry among HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node for FabFilter folders and delete them. Install now remove internet or use firewall (i use Windows fw) before u activate. and dont move folders again manually. If u must change the folders u must install from beginning, because i think, the Authorisation serial and the information of the location of the plugins are saved somewhere alse and are coded, i dont know. The licensefile is located HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FabFilter\Micro\1.0 in LicenseText.

    use wise program uninstaller (it's free), then do a fresh reinstall. usually works for me whenever i have issues like this (which isn't often).

    I actually used Revo Uninstaller, it seems to work pretty well at getting all traces of a program deleted. Regardless, I've already tried that but I'll try it again a few different ways. Thanks :)

    That worked! Thank you for going into such detail. Turns out I just needed to cut my connection; I thought simply blocking my DAW would be good enough. :D

    Ive done the same thing as said in the best answer, running windows 7 deleted registry entries, used wiseuninstaller and tried the normal uninstaller but i'm still getting that I have the expired trial after entering in a key upon rebooting my daw. Any tips on where an additional file might be hiding that is preventing the key from working?

    I do organise plugins after activating them. Never happened the same with me (fabfilters). Win 7 & Win10 64bit.
