Needs lots of variations and modifications to the drums, etc. of course. :mates:

What do you feel about the atmosphere of the track?

It's got atmosphere, mate, coming through nicely. Some nice variation within the repeated key group.
I like a lot of the elements, and some kick off nicely, which I like the most.

It's not my genre, as you know, but I can see it could be developed.
You'd have guessed I like snappy, structured arrangements, so for me, less drop parts and more driving drums so when you do drop it's going to get noticed more.
Good track in the making, bruv, so thumbs up from me :like:

Thank you my Aliens for the listening!

I know your interest and attentiveness are songs rather than my experimental drafts, my next mission would be combining EDMish ideas with your lovely song-related ones as you mentioned in another thread. So please give me some time to convert it to a worthwhile material.:winker::mates:

Hey foster, since I've been lurking in this forum for 4 or 5 years, I vaguely remember when you made your first posts here, always feeling you were a bit of an oddball, especially when it comes to music. It's not a bad thing, my dearest friends are all odd in various degrees and areas (one of them likes Adolf Hitler (he is the nicest person you'll ever meet I swear)). But back to what I was saying, your music. I'm looking at your soundcloud atm and you have almost a hundred tracks there and if I'm not mistaken there isn't a single one that's really "finished", that and most of them sound confused or confusing to me, both through melody and other elements. This leaves me to think that you are confused, at least when writing music, or you don't take it so seriously and treat it more as a pastime? Indulge me, if you would, my curiosity.

Also this particular piece sounds like a dull butter knife. The basics ain't half bad but you need to add delays, some distortion and reverb the sh** out of a lot of synths there and pimp the drums too. After all that, there could maybe, hypothetically be talk of mixing and phase and such. I think you've had a bit too much practice in "trying this-and-that", time to put all that time and energy to work.

I'm so exuberant you listened to my works there.:bleh:

I want to give you some short answers.

Firstly, all of us work the music out differently. This is the mainspring for the abundance and plentifulness of genres and styles in electronic and also other regimes. I've delved so deeply  and teased out that my works are in the realm of Synthtron. Not trance, techno, etc. I don't think you've heard many of this type. This is the best example:

Secondly, maybe you as a producer have heard that almost half of the music is the impressions that just some parts of music provoke inside you and more than 50% of the whole track is just the repetition of other parts. I've always pressed for to focus just on the most important parts of it (people would call it the drop, though I don't see it a good term) and left the other parts related to the structuring to the future. Now I'm in a point that confidently and forcefully would say I don't have many problems in making the mentioned part.

Thirdly, I'm like old electronic producers. I mean I have done lots of woks in the experimental sides of electronic and now I'm having transition to the song related territory (so uncharted for me). Now I can predict what the reactions would be by listening to my eccentric creatures.:bleh:

Cool 2 see u actually making some music Foster
Is kinda minimal sort of whatever stuff I not really ever listen 2 but has a sort of cool atmosphere.
Kinda made me think of like a barren landscape or 80's video game gone wrong but actually quite enjoyed it in a strange twisted kind of way :)For serious listening would have to have a whole lot more for me personally but kinda liked it.
Out of curiosity BTW why do you kind of never really put up like a standard sort of EDM type creation in a more traditional fashion?
Why u always aiming at these bizarre kind of tangent efforts. Not trying 2 being provocative or anything but just curious?

    Nice one tho :yes::mates::bow:

It's the first track of yours Foster, that I have listened to all the way through, which didn't have me reaching for the razor blades! Getting better!

I agree, it does have some atmosphere.

Ok, basically you create music based on other people's feelings and opinions and try to improve upon it using only this method. Works for multinational corporations but not so much for something that should come from your own heart. If you want to write real music, something with real magnetic force that will pull people in, it has to come from your heart not some methodolgy thats more suited to teach a machine intelligence. All you are doing is trying to please people imo. I would never, ever let something like that into my musical workflow, that is not to say I aspire to be the uniquest weirdo musician there has ever been. I like a certain style, certain producers and build my own thing from there while aiming myself for whomever is inspiring to me.

Whether its the mix or the melody etc. etc. it's important to have a clear destination of where you want your music to go, asking that from thousands of people will only confuse you and quite possibly affect your self-confidence. I've had my sights locked for a very long time now, it took a lot of work but I'm finally starting to get where I wanted to go, and I'm masochistic when it comes to my music. I was up 73 hours once, ate nothing and drank 6 jugs of black coffee because I was afraid I might lose the "zone". I got up one morning and looked at myself in the mirror and my skin had turned yellow, the lack of sleep was starting to shut down my liver, then I went to sleep and woke up as pretty pink me again.

I've been reading a lot of your negative criticisms here. You've also decided what kind of person Foster911 is from comments on forum threads.......

Thank you very much for all the positive sentences as great morale boosters for the continuation of my way. You've always been a good stalwart backer beside @famouslut .
Music must be fierce. EDM and most of others are like "party party, go go". I can not do it. The ones produced merely for the dance don't grant you enough potential to deliver strong stories inside them.:dunno:

Just remember, Bruv, you don't have to please anyone here, it's your music, and ultimately only you that needs to be satisfied by it.
If you're trying things out after seeking guidance or inspiration, that's all well and good, but the best advice I can give you is be true to yourself and remember to have fun. The workplace and visiting the in laws are the go to places for not liking how you spend your time.

Sry haven't been paying too much attention to Audioz etcs, @foster911 . Got arrested for being slutty, kicked out & had lots of personal drama lately. Enjoyed your latest work, as ever brought a smile to my face! It's kind like if John Carpenter tried to do EDM. Slightly tentatively, which appealed to me. Liked all the modulation / sweep stuff, too. There was only one lil riff @ about 1:20-1:28 that didn't quite work, for me.

This is SUCH an AWESOME piece of music! If this is one of your main influences, you're on the right track! :))

I really like where your latest "song" is headed, also! I quite like repetitions, almost to the point of obsession. You created a hypnotic sequence that I really liked. Congrats, man!
