nice track! Always I have this question about these possible options. Is Midiguitar 2 better or Yourockguitar 2? (100$ vs 250$) or similar comparisons between the Midiguitar 2 or an actual midi pickup and possibly a Roland hardware. (100 $ vs lots of $s)

    Thanks @metaller .
My Roland experience stopped around when the GR-1 came out. You couldn't play piano lines. Latency seemed like it was 35ms. Great for pads but not much more, unless you are Robert Fripp and adjust your picking speed, anticipating the ridiculous latency. The GK pickup is $220.... without any MIDI conversion.

MIDIguitar is like playing a grand piano, all of a sudden outfitted with MIDI. That YOURock thing I'm sure works but I would imagine is a total different feel. Like a life long concert pianist playing a mini-key USB controller?
    There's a mono only Sonuus G2M hardware for $100.

Very interesting @metaller! I never thought of that! I wonder if it can be done with Bome's Midi Translator, which I use and is still available in the sister site.
I'll give it a try tomorrow.

PS: I also have Sonuus G2M, but it has become obsolete for computer use after the appearance of Midi Guitar, because 1. it is monophonic and 2. it is hard to configure properly (much more latency and false notes). I still use it with hardware though, like the Roland Ra-95.
