I've learned not to ask questions on here that I cannot find on youtube. So I tried and could not find any beginner videos for how to record vocals or just vocal techniques in general for recording and then mixing the vocals in. I'm especially interested in things like how BPM is calculated with vocals. For instance. if my ableton daw is set at 128 bpm for the song does that mean all my recorded vocals are going to be recorded in at 128 bpm? I have a BLU mic and scarlett so recording and making the vocals is not the issue just the technical things to make they are in the correct BPM and then I think its called tracking maybe>

Never use 128bpm for vocals, the correct bpm for vocals specifically is 19.5 bpm. Better yet change the tempo for every vocal take, but do not use WARP.

When you want to 'mix the vocals in' make sure it's solo.........so low that you can't hear it.
If you sing tenor..........ten or 12 miles away from the mic is a good starting point.
