Truly another one of my all-time faves. I especially love the version of I'll Be Around from the When We Were Kings documentary, live from the prefight concert in Zaire. I believe The Spinners were accompanied by some of James Brown's band - hence the inclusion of the horns. Sorry, no link . . .

 

I played guitar in this band. The album was released in 1982 and yes I'm an old timer. I can still play. Let me know what you think. We should have made it but Oh well!!!!

Classic tune, although it has to be the Terri Wells version for me! I know I know it's blasphemy, but what can i do!

My dad use to have a music stall in the market in the 60's, and motown, soul and black music in general were better sellers than uk pop at that time. People just couldn't get enough of it!
