Without reading the entire thread.. Is this helpful in anyway for OSX users? Or is the SNPID a Windows Kontakt only thing? Forgive me of my lack of knowledge.

 

@celtic3342 guess I missed that utility you speak of.. can you direct to location?

And now I know how to insert an image into the NICNT file.
Make your wallpaper by 620X100 with Photoshop and save in .psd format.
Open this one with Notepad++ and copy the code.
Open your Wallpaper with Notepad++ and you must make a special copy.
Select all/ Edition/Special Paste/Copy Binary content.
For the rest, there remain you more than to find the solution, I spent many months for searching the final solution. And I still make mistakes so that if a tag is not closed or forgotten, nothing works. So this is not the best solution.

I've been using SNPDLocator for about a year and it's really useful. But the top one is NicntGenerator, by the same author. No need to use Notepad++ and it always warns you if the SNPD number you want to use is already used by another library. I don't know if it's working with the latest Kontakt crack, since all custom nicnts are rejected. Anyway, I'm content with Kontakt 5.5.1 and I'm not goint to update it.

But what if some Kontakt libarier don't generate a .xml file in the service center? happened to me with Orchtral Tools f.e.

 

Please, could I have a step-by-step tutorial for how I can make the Kontakt Factory 5 content work? Because every time I try to open the library I get the same message: "Your new library needs to be added before this instrument can be used....". and this thing happens only for this specific library. png is the type of file needed for Ni images . It is all Os related

 

You're right but not entirely. I use custom nicnt's and it's true that in very old libraries doesn't work (Kontakt recognizes he lib when adding it but won't show up). But in others works like a charm. A real mistery. I wonder if it is related to the same nki files.

Has anybody tried to make nicnt with extra data (like images n this case) with TotalCommander inNkx plugin? It works like a charm for converting separate wav/ncw to nkx, but I don't know about nicnt. I know that it can generate them.

 

This error happens with more libs.

The png format is the most compatible lossless graphic one, it's the best choice with multi-OS things. Fully compatible with windows and windows Kontakt.
In fact I think it's the default format for Kontakt wallpapers, be it alone or inside nicnt, nkr containers.

I would LOVE to know how to increase the scrolling speed for the library's tab or know how to re-order them within some sort of content .plist or .xml file?
