Hi boys,
I recently bought an Apogee Duet from one of my friends. I work on mac, before I had a presonus Audiobox 22L and it works great, I didn't get any problems.
But with this new audiocard I notice lots of problems: often the firmware crash (the logo of Apogee 'A' appears on the display) and i need to unplug the usb cable from this and plug again.
Sometimes when I use Logic X I hear some audio artifacts and i need to reboot the audio card.
Apogee Duet is linked to a direct usb port (no busses or similar), even if in my mac I have all usb port and an usb busses full. I have installed Apogee Maestro software.

Why does it work so bad? Compatibility problems?

It works bad, because, as they say "there is no windows driver because we want to dedicate all out resources to osx" so for them it's pretty hard to make drivers. I have one and although the sound is good the software is crap. I instantly regretted not to have bought Focusrite Forte instead. No windows support? Are you joking? And where is that stellar osx implementation? And no the drive does not work smooth, stutters, clipping, and lost connection. Bla bla

 

You mean this is the shit and we can't do anything to fix this audio card?
I don't use windows, so it doesn't mind for me about windows drivers
