is it possible to make a bad mix with a reference track

    the bass sounds the same, the kick, snare, high hats, cymbals and so on. I even think it don't need to master!.. yet this question remains

    It is veeery difficult to make a good mix eitherway (a reference track might be a little helper - but you don't even know what they used on that, and so on...)

    It is possible as it is easy to lose track of your own perspective for the music you’re working on.

    And there is the obvious point that the reference track could be crap :rofl:

    naahh I only mess with pro stuff, sometimes I think i can do without it that's when I fuck things up.
