can someone give me firmware 1.10 akai mpd 24 for windows.
on the site http://www.vyzor.com I get no response.

akai goes up to firmware 1.09
to download firmware 1.10 is only at Vyzex.
but I get no response.
my version 1.09 is erased, I now have only a piece of plastic .

psycraftTony over at Vyzor, the people who make the editing software supplied with the akai products, can help out with firmware, but technically Akai is supposed to supply it.

I thought maybe has a member this firmware.
This would be a lot easier.

In the meantime, please Install MIDIOX

Forget about all the sissy midi apps out there and install a man's app MidiOX

that is what I use to backup / send all my FX external Sysex Patches and System sysexdumps

Like I mentione please use Midox for all your midi needs, In fact I went extreme with it and now use it as a front end to my DAW, so all the midi in gets MAN HANDLED by Midiox which then routes to MidiYoke virtual Midi ports to Reaper.

Since I use the BBLEAN SHELL I can have Midiox running on a different virtual desktop, while Reaper is no another= a kickass live tool!! As I can see all the info for Midi (live monitoring tools that midiox has that no other apps have)

So this way I can see my external gear switching patches and all the data coming in . it's very cool at night LOL

LMFAO actually I am portuguese and live in Canada, and of course my name is not Danfuerth LOL

That is my online alias, email and all accounts online for forums, In fact I started telling people asking at stores for details like online flyers, I Just tell them I am Danfuerth and give them my Dan fuerth address. Been using that name for 10 years now LOL.

Since the forum you mentioned is locked up

I had to go to Japan and do some website hacking Tee hee on the Akai Japan Site in order to get the files out of that thing.

I won't go into details but will say it was trivial to get the files LOL.

No problem, just want to make sure it is all working that's all

As far as MIDIOX I haven using that thing forever even back on the Windows 98 days

Basically this is how I have my Setup it is very simple not complicated


0. Install your interface drivers ( of course interface has to have midi hehehe)
1. install Midiyoke drivers
2.install Midiox
3.Run midiox - Choose your INPUT midi drivers ( choose the correct one that says example "Edirol FA101 MIDI IN".
Now on the output driver you guessed it... choose Midiyoke OUT 1

4. run your daw now, chose the midi in ports as you guessed it.... Midi Yoke 1 IN ( DO NOT CHOOSE example "Edirol FA101 Midi in" as remember MIDIOX is runing and using it!!.

Arm a track and make sure monitor is on of course and test to make sure midi is coming in.

That's it now you are running your Daw and Midiox is running as well, now you can see everything that is midi coming in through Midiox, which goes out via Midyoke into your daw.

Amazing way to really SEE midi in action live with the Midiox live input screen.

However, I wouldn't install MidiOX and Midi-Yoke both at the same time. Why? Just MIDI-OX is enough. However II, BBLean is lean, yes. ;)
