The KB3020369 update disables WindowsAero on windows 7.

    How to enable Aero transparency?
    I have win7 starter, and I use an aeropatch to activate it, but when I installed the update KB3020369 aero deactivated and I can not find how to activate it again.
    I need to run bitwig studio, but the graphics are a mess.

    if you are sure that KB3020369 is the cause of the problem
    just uninstall it & reboot your system and let me know if it works
    Note : Before installing any update from Microsoft make sure to read about the info of each update before download it & install it
    Microsoft update always fix one thing and screw other

    EDIT : One more thing try to uninstall java runtime and reinstall it so make sure isn't corrupted

    Bitwig doesn't use a java runtime, it has its own jvm built in.

    Apparently the problem was caused by KB3020369 + java, since uninstall java and aero is back, and I also believe that KB3020369 is the only update that has no option to uninstall. Thanks you!!!
