You surely did something wrong...But on the other hand it's nothing complicated,that's strange....It works normally for me,and the soundbanks are installed on another hard disk.

 

There is only one dll file for concerto. there rest are rvr files. Did you install the d-50 vst? If so, go to the plugin directory that it is installed in and rename it xxx-x64.dll.
As far as concerto after you install it put the rvr files into a directory then run the lib placer. Also the second release for the d-50 only has x64 files, the first release has both 86 and 64 bit.

 

Hey all, can anyone verify the VST3 versions are less CPU hungry than the regular VST2 versions of the plugins?

I am running an old potato, so the CPU usage is literally killing my PC with a few instances except the D-50 as pointed out by others here

 

Makes no difference at all. Both types are very CPU hungry. VST3 does not support PB and AT.

 

This kinda worked for me in Reaper. With Jupiter loaded it now uses 39% CPU instead of 40%!

Could it be the synths calling home that makes them cpu hogs?

 

I think they are CPU hogs because all voices are constantly being generated even if you don't play any key, just like in a real analoge synth. I'm not a big Roland fan but I think these Plugins are spot on, even one step higher than Diva when it comes to realistic analoge modeling. If you want to use these plugs but don't want to pay 1500€ for a 4 octave plastic keyboard, then just deal with high CPU usage.

You gotta admit it's better than nothing. If you were planning on staying subscribed anyways it would make no difference. Look what Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers have to endure - and they don't even get to technically and legally keep using the software once they decide they no longer want to be subscribed.

 

U r right about the price of rent to own, the price is high .
its not beta anymore.

 

i don't know what update you got, but the cpu hog is still high as in "almost unusable " in many cases except for the older plugins and the D50. if you compare the juno106 to the TAL Uno the sound is not much of a difference but the cpu is like 50 times more

Only usable plug outta the lot for me is the d50.........

Rest are quite literally useless, and my machine truly has a heart attack even when "Roland cloud plugs" are whispered by someone!..

Even at the sheer prospect of me loadin one up "Computers sayn no"......
N goes into shock...followd by convultions n prompt death!

Whats a lil odd is i can genuinley run 15 instances of the d50 without a problem...
But not one of any of the other range...

well yes the gui is like 2005 ish i can't figure out why they put a zoom function , to see all the pixels they used? :D
maybe time they call to Arturia to ask how to make a nice gui :D
