As you all may hear about, there's this new SLATE DIGITAL VRS-8, that came out a few weeks ago.
I completely come from the digital world and I dont know nothing about wiring analog gears but I intend to learn about it. I've worked as I recording "engineer" (I know that's not the right term, and I didn't study music at school , I studied literature^^ ) in several studio in Paris (already wired so I never learned about how it works), and I found myself confortable with couple high end analog gears and mic for recording vocals :
Tube Tech CL1B compressor, NEVE 1073 preamp , and the SONY C-800G microphone. So I consider myself to acquiring the best sounding gear that I could get with a relatively affordable price. So It came to my mind to have a setup build of a VRS-8 for a sound card use (and not to use it for its preamp emulations) and its Slate Plugins CPU drive (which it's more than half the price of a UAD solution plugin and Apollo16 combined even if they have more plugins out).
Also, SLATE DIGITAL offers a SONY C-800G emulation, the VMS-One mic which is available in a bundle with the VRS-8. So at this stage we're saving more than 15k ! . So, I found reasonable to spend some money on these other two expensive gears that make vocals sound really great : The NEVE 1073 preamp and the Tube Tech CL1B Compressor.
My question is : Is it possible to wire the VRS-8 to the 1073 , CL1B and a presonus monitor station thanks
